Azulejo / Thraupis episcopus
This is a small bird that is very common in urban and rural areas of Colombia. It is characterized by its light grayish-blue body, wings with more intense turquoise blue tones, and a short, dark beak. It is often seen in gardens, parks, and forest edges, usually in pairs or small groups.
Interesting fact:
The common bluebird adapts very well to cities and is often seen eating fruit from ornamental trees and even visiting feeders in homes. In Medellín, it is one of the easiest birds to spot in residential areas.
