Tropical mockingbird / Mimus gilvus

Medium-sized bird with light gray plumage, slightly darker wings, and a long tail. It has a thin, slightly curved beak. It is very common in urban areas, gardens, pastures, and open areas. It is often seen perched on exposed branches while singing.

Fun fact:

It is an excellent mimic. It can copy the songs of other birds, insect sounds, and even urban noises, incorporating them into its own repertoire. That is why it often seems to be “conversing” with its surroundings.
